Letter From the Mayor
Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Village of Lincoln Heights e-newsletter. You have been chosen to receive this communication because you are important to the revitalization of the Village, and we want to make sure you are kept up-to-date on the great things happening here.
Our history presents us with challenges, but we don’t run from challenges. There is a new energy and spirit in the Village. The revitalization of Lincoln Heights is well underway and will benefit not just our residents but those companies and organizations who choose to partner with us.
As you’ll see in this e-newsletter, our efforts are guided by a six-point strategic plan to improve Village finances and resident services; it is already bearing fruit. Earlier this year, we entered into a partnership with PowerNet to implement free Wi-Fi access to the Village, addressing a critical infrastructure need for our residents and providing a competitive advantage for our community. And our land use plan has been updated to help direct development and leverage real estate owned by the Village.
