The Village Strategic Plan: Our Blueprint for Success

The Village Strategic Plan: Our Blueprint for Success

The Village of Lincoln Heights has had its share of challenges. But we’re taking our future into our own hands, and our path to remaking our Village into an even better place to live, work and play is guided by the strategic plan you helped write.

We are excited about our progress. And we hope you are, too.

Thanks to a grant from SORTA, more streets in the Village are being upgraded and paved. Our newly-formed public works department is busy addressing needs every single day. Our new code enforcement effort is helping residents identify and perform needed repairs. The build-out of our public Wi-Fi is deep into Phase One.

In just the past month or so, new houses have opened on Jackson Street and the Village was chosen for the Community Makeover. And residents gathered to discuss our updated land use plan.

There is much, much more to come. Lincoln Heights is in the second year of the Hamilton County Community Oriented Policing Services grant (COPS), which provides additional manpower and resources in Lincoln Heights. Along with the grant, community-based crime reduction provides the intelligence-led operations assistance for the COPS grant. We have developed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Port Authority that facilitates communication to help guide the course of housing development and revitalization work in the Village. Several prominent local companies have partnered with the Village on a variety of projects, which will be publicly announced soon.

We want resident input every step of the way in our revitalization journey. We will continue to keep you informed through this newsletter, on our website, via social media on Facebook and Twitter, through events and whatever other tools are necessary.
