25-year Industry Veteran to Serve As Finance Director for the Village of Lincoln Heights

Lincoln Heights, Ohio – John W. Key, Jr. has joined the Village of Lincoln Heights as Finance Director. He will be responsible for managing the financial affairs of the Village, including financial reporting, investments, and debt management evaluations.

            Key is a 25-year finance veteran with a track record of creating, developing and managing financial environments, including identifying and solving problems, controlling costs and delivering results. He has served in finance-related positions with Stericycle, Cintas and the former Time Warner Cable (now Spectrum). He was also executive director of the Greater Cincinnati Minority Foundation and a small business owner. Key holds earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix.

            Key has also served as both a councilmember and mayor of the Village. His wife, Tonya, is a current Village councilmember.

            “Having a professional of John’s caliber as finance director is important for Lincoln Heights as our revitalization continues to gain momentum,” said Lincoln Heights Mayor Ruby Kinsey-Mumphrey. “His experience speaks for itself. The fact that he is a Village resident as well as a former mayor and councilmember means he understands Lincoln Heights to its core. That combination is very powerful.”
