HURC Building Four More Homes in the Village

HURC Building Four More Homes in the Village

The Homesteading and Urban Redevelopment Corporation (HURC) has received another grant from Hamilton County to continue its work in Lincoln Heights.

HURC’s current work in the Village is being done in two phases. In the first phase, HURC built four homes on Jackson Street (864, 868, 867, and 877). New residents have moved into all four homes and are enjoying living in the Village. The second phase will be four new homes at 860 Jackson, 866 Adams, and 810 Adams – which is actually a double lot that will be split to allow for two new homes.

Thanks to the new grant from Hamilton County, HURC will begin an entirely new project that will feature four additional homes. All homes will also be on Jackson and Adams.

In total, over the next two years, HURC will have built 12 new homes in the Village. The organization will continue to seek funding to do more homes as part of the memorandum of understanding between The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority and Lincoln Heights. All of this work is consistent with the land use plan that was approved by the Village last year.
