Major Road Improvements on the Way
Village leadership continues to focus on improving roads throughout the Village. Next on the list are two of the worst: Chamberlain and Douglas Streets.
This work is being funded by the Ohio Public Works Commission and SORTA (Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority). It will feature total street reconstruction, including subgrade repair, curbs, ramps, paving, sidewalks, gutters, and pipes. After an extensive public bidding process, Ford Developers has been chosen for the work.
The next step is for the Village to host public information sessions for residents to ask questions and offer any concerns. These sessions will likely be scheduled soon.
The preliminary schedule calls for sewer separation first, which should be completed by the end of 2023. The street reconstruction will begin in 2024, with later summer/early fall as the completion target.
